Inauguration ceremony of Enterprise India

(Exclusive Exhibition of Indian Products & Services)

10-13 November 2011, Tatmadaw Hall, Yangon, Myanmar

The Inauguration ceremony of Enterprise India (Exclusive Exhibition of Indian Products & Services), organized by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in association with Embassy of India, Yangon with support of Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, Ministry of Commerce, Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and Republic of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RUMFCCI), was held at Tatmadaw Hall in Yangon on 10th November, 2011. H.E.U Win Myint , Union Minister for Ministry of Commerce, H.E.U Soe Thane , Union Minister for Ministry of Industry-No.1& No.2,H.E. U Myint Hlaing , Union Minister for Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, H.E. U Myint Swe , Chief Minister for Yangon Region, H.E. U Hla Myint, Chairman for Yangon City Development Committee, U Zaw Min Win ,Vice President for RUMFCCI, Mr. Sanjay C Kirloskar Chairman for CII ASEAN/ANZ Regional Committee for CII, H.E. Dr.V.S. Seshadri, Ambassador of India to Myanmar jointly inaugurated the ceremony of Enterprise India.

At which H.E.U Win Myint, Union Minister for Ministry of Commerce, H.E.U Soe Thane, Union Minister for Ministry of Industry-No.1& No.2, Mr. Sanjay C Kirloskar Chairman for CII ASEAN/ANZ Regional Committee for CII, H.E. Dr. V. S. Seshadri, Ambassador of India to Myanmar delivered the Opening Address. The Indian Dance Group led by Mr. Kapil Sharma and Art students from National University of Arts and Culture (Yangon) also performed at the ceremony.

Officials from Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Industry-No.1& No.2, Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, Ministers of Yangon Region, Exhibitors of India’s companies, delegations of Confederation of Indian Industry, invited guests, local and foreign media representatives were also present.

The Exhibition is participated over 60 companies from varied sectors. The exhibition is on Automobiles (Commercial & Passenger), Agriculture Machinery, Telecommunication Infrastructure, Electrification, Renewable Energy, Textiles & Garments, Consumer Durables with presence of major companies like Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Shyam Telecom, Escorts, NHPC, Fedders Lloyd, Exim Bank, Ion Exchange, HMT, and International Tractors ,etc.
