Wellwishers donate cash for pagoda in Mumbai

Wellwishers today contributed cash to the construction funds of a pagoda, a replica of Shwedagon Pagoda, in Mumbai, India.

YANGON: Wellwishers today contributed cash to the construction funds of a pagoda, a replica of Shwedagon Pagoda, in Mumbai, India.

At the cash donation ceremony held at Dhamma Jotika Vipassana Meditation Centre in Bahan Township, wellwishers donated over K 1 million and US$ 100 through officials of the meditation centre.

The World Vipassana Pagoda is now under construction in Mumbai.
