Moreh: A joint meeting of the represen-tatives of India and Myanmar today agreed that the Kitply agents of India would take teak and other timbers now being kept at Moreh.
The Indian team was led by Principal Chief Conservator of Forest, Government of Manipur S Singsit while the Myanmarese officials were led by the repre-sentative of Myanmar Timber Enterprises U Win Min. During the meeting held today morning at Water World restaurant of Tamu, the timber agents of Tamu and Kalemeyo disclosed that they have timber stock for about 10 years to supply to Indian Kitply company. S Singsit who attended the meeting as the representative of the high power committee constituted by the Supreme Court would present a detailed report of today's meeting and its proceedings. From the side of Myanmar, the representatives assured to implement the points agreed during the meeting.
The meeting was also attended by DFO and ROs of Chandel, authorised agents of Kitply and their counterparts of Myanmar.
