As a member of the National Coalition Government of the Union of Burma (NCGUB), I welcome you to India.
NCGUB truly appreciates better relation between the US and Burma's neighbors because the different approaches towards Burma will become cohesive. Honestly I am not pleased with the current approach of India.
Your strong message on Burma expressed during this visit will be seriously taken by the government of India and the military regime of Burma. I sincerely expect your visit to India will help democratization in Burma and the release of our leader Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
I wish India as well as China will be in line with international community as the problems of Burma are coming across the international borders and challenging the regional stability and peace. NCGUB wants India and China working jointly with the US at the UN so that Burma may join the community of young democracies.
I wish your sub-continent tour pleasant and a success!
Sincerely
Tint Swe
